86 Bronco II

Good evening, all!
I recently purchased an 86 bronco II with the 2.9, 5 speed manual, 4 wheel drive that I’m essentially having to redo from the ground up. I’ve gutted the inside since it was beaten to hell and I’ll be pulling the body off tomorrow. From there I’ll rebuild the motor essentially only keeping the block. My question is it’s been very hit and miss in my search for parts online. LMC has a lot of great things but from an interior standpoi

I’m happy to optimize the 2.9 to its full potential! I don’t see any need for the swap as there’s really nothing I’ll be doing that 2.9 can’t do for me. Thank you for the reference, website and warm welcome!

The biggest thing to remember with the 2.9 is keep it cool. Its heads are its only achillies heel. The bottom end/block are damn near bulletproof.

@PetroleumJunkie412 2.9 is putting down some insane numbers well north of 200hp with forced induction.
