'86 2.3 into a '88?

Hi guys, I was wondering if you could shed some light on if an '86 EFI 2.3 from a Ranger is the same as an '88 EFI 2.3 Ranger. I know they are both the 4 plug 2.3's. I found an '86 and I would like to buy it. Please give me any feed back you have.

there the exact same block. just makes sure they are both 4 plug heads and you should be good to go.

you'll probably want to reuse the '88 wiring harness, but other than that should be a bolt in

Cool, I was planning on using the 88 injectors, harness ect.
