Newbie here; newly fostered pristine '86 5-speed, FI and Distributor.
Went from running absolutely fabulously to Absolute Zero. Cranks, but no ignition rough or otherwise.
-Spark at plug: check
-fuel pressure at rail: check
No surprise, eh?
I followed some similar threads here and my situation seems different in that I just replaced the timing belt (fudging the aux pulley until correct) and therefore have confirmed that this is absolutely NOT timing-related. The car was running better than ever for three hours of driving, at which point I parked and decided to do a leak-down and compression test to evaluate the engine (zero leakage and 150-160# across all four).
After completing the leak-down/comp tests, I went to fire it up and nothing but crank. Plugs were all removed during comp-test cranking so the flood-damaged plugs theory doesn't seem to apply.
Is it possible that the FI injectors aren't pulsing? Could there be fuel at the rail and no cylinder-spray? Do Rangers have a relay or fuse that could shut down the injector pulse?
Any ideas very much appreciated.

Confirm firing order is correct and then hold the pedal to the floor while cranking. If it catches, you still managed to flood it.

what color is the spark? is it blue or yellow?
