I have an 85 2.3 liter 2wd ranger and the steering is a bit squirrely as of late. I replaced a drag-link that had gone bad and got an alignment about six months ago. It drove much better and handled like it should. I pulled it on a rack today and checked out the front end because the steering wheel is not returning to center like it used to. Everything seemed relatively okay, but my mechanic friend could not get the exact specs so he was only able to adjust one part (camber or caster dont remember), but it didn't help. I put new heavy duty shocks on when I got home today because it was time for them, but without throwing parts at it, what specific things can I check for to diagnose and fix this condition?
