Alright guys I ave a ? about my brakes. I have a 85 Ranger 4x4 2.8v6 all stock. I have now put 2 brake boosters and 4 brake master cylinders. Now my brakes have gone out AGAIN!! What am I missing or am i getting some bad parts or what? The pedal just goes straight to the floor I have checked fluids and bled lines over and over again, what else could it be?

Brake Calipers or rear brake cylinders. Either could leak. Maybe balloning rubber lines. or air getting into the system from the seals on the caliper or cylinder. Only thing I can think of without abs and on that old of a truck.

yea, check your brake cylinders. But if they was leaking you should be able to notice, Besides the pedal going to the floor. They are easy to rebuild they sell the kits at autozone. When mine was leaking it would leave a noticeable puddle under both tires in the rear, and the inside of both rims and tires was covered in oil or I should say brake fluid. Do you check the fluid and do you need to put alot in?

I check the fluid very often and have never had to put any in. The only leak on this truck is an oil leak at the rear main seal. No brake fluid on the pavement where I park and no loss of brake fluid at the master cylinder, no air in the lines either.

If the rubber lines stretch while hitting the brake, it could cause a low or no pedal. Check your rubber lines on the front and the one on the rear. If they are soft to pinch or look fatter than they should be, replace them. Or if they are cracked, replace them just for safety reasons. That's the only thing I can see causing it.

Thanks for all the info guys, I will be taking a closer look tomorrow at the truck. I'll post what I find or if I have more questions.
