85 Ford Ranger Questions

Hello everyone,

I have an 85 Ranger that had a 302 swap done. I needs some work, but I'm not familiar with Fords. I'm in hopes that I can get some help.
I'm using the V8 swap info found here (http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/V8Conversions.html).

Question 1
I have a Distributor number E5TE=12A33-AA and it says w/mod then E5TE-12127-AA I'm unsure of these numbers, but I would like to know if this is part of the Duraspark II ignition?

Question 2
What would you recommend for the floor shifter? I have one, but the underneath lever is to long plus the hole in the floor is to big. Does anyone know if I could get a spacer to lift it or a recommendation on what to use?

It had a V6 with a 5spd with 4x4 whats in it now is a V8 302 with I think is a C5 tranny, (but unsure) with transfer case.

Question 3
I'm unsure of what all as been done other then its had the 302 swap, so I'm going thru and fixing what needs to be fixed and doing a good few times over to make sure that EVERYTHING was done right. So my question is this. I would like to get everyone's thoughts and ideas and recommendations on what to do what I should use so on and so forth, I'd like to know how to do it the right way from the ppl that have done it before and know more then me. I'd really like the help.

If your running a auto the b and m Mega shifter is a pretty nice set up (Its what I use with my C-6) you can cut it down a little if you need to as well....

If it has three wires coming out of the distributor it is the duraspark. More info and especially pics will help.
