85 2.8 Rebuild

Having a hard time finding stock manifolds for my 85 2.8. I've pretty much given up on headers if anyone has some they would sell let me know. also wanting a more aggressive cam. I'm right in the middle of a rebuild anyone have any advice on parts that I should be throwing in to help performance. also planning on Duraspark when I get the motor back in.

You just need to keep hitting up the bone yards for parts. Anything with a carb is the first to get crushed it is just a matter of getting lucky. While looking try and find a late 70s pinto, mustang II or capri with a 2.8 for the carb and ignition system.

I've heard that the 86 2.8 Aerostar headers will fit in place of the stock ones (but the Y-pipe is different).

I've got an 84 2.8 with all that stuff you need. Also has a fairly new set of rebuilt heads on it as well. Need a fresh TK5 trans? It's got one as well. I'm in N Idaho if you're interested.Thank you.

Did corn ever come back to get updates?

When I built my 2.8 in my pinto I took the stock cam into a regrind shop for a custom grind that I am very happy with. as for ignition, i have the msd al6 supplying sparks with no probs. as for the headers i did have a set of aerostar exhausts, never did use them, they are getting hard to find.
