84' Ranger 2.3L

Thanks for all the input. went ahead and takled the valve cover replacement, and i used some blue gasket maker to "hold down" the BLUE valve cover gasket, so it doesnt move. I tourqed the bolts to 105inches. I got a new PCV, and connected the small end to the Carb vacuum. So far so good, now if i could just get the high idle when in neutral fixed....

High idle when in neutral?

Likely a linkage issue with the carb or could be vacuum line is off somewhere.

What carb is it and what adjustments have you tried if any?
