83 ranger cowl vent panel

Recently i have been doing some work on my ranger, and now I'm onto looking for a replacement panel. The cowl vent panel. It's the piece located below the windshield.

Does anyone know of where I can order a new one from?

If you are not concerned about matchy matchy a second gen Ranger/BII or a first gen Explorer panel has small round holes as opposed to the huge leaf eating slots the first gen Ranger had.

That would be perfect. I'm not too worried about originality, as long as it fits haha.

I have never done it but just drill out the spot welds and fasten the new one in place.

Being entwined in the lower glue seal of the windshield complicates the swap but if you have to replace the panel you will have to deal with that anyway.

If I can find either a new one (I haven't looked at all yet) or a used one that is easy to get out I wouldn't mind doing it when I reseal my windshield.
