I have an 83 2.3 2wd 4speed ranger and picked up an 86 2.3 4wd 5speed as a parts truck. the engine on the 83 is gone and i was wondering if it’s possible to put the carb and intake on the 86

I think the intake pattern is going to be different between them, I don't remember the year breakpoints off hand but there's a bunch of intake patterns on the 2.3L's... if you have them side by side and they match then yeah, go for it...
