1 peice driveshaft swap can be done in older 83'-89' Supercab Rangers.

-Both the differential and transfer case flanges use 2.5'' bolt spacing.
-It seems best to use a steel 1 peice driveshaft from a 98' or 99' supercab as the driveshaft diameter is such that no trimming of the skid plate is required.
-The carrier bearing support will have to be removed by grinding or drilling the four rivets that attach it to the frame.
-You will need to change the rear flange on the driveshaft to one that uses 2.5'' bolt spacing. Ford part# 6L2Z4851A.
-If you cannot find a used flange, or don't want a new 2.5'' bolt space flange, the flange from a Mustang 5.0 driveshaft will work perfectly. 87-93 Mustang confirmed. Other years may be the same, but unconfirmed.
-If you are swapping the flanges yourself, allow 2-3 hours labor for completion of the job.

**This is an addendum to the already present thread "1 peice driveshaft swap".
