i got a 92 ranger im looking to maybe buy that 8" skyjacker class 2 lift for it im just wondering if its worth me buying and what kinda tire size would i be able to run with it.

No such thing as a 8" class II kit (Class II is 4 & 6" only). The 8" comes only as class 1.

Like said above, the 8" kit makes a nightmare of the steering. I would stick with a 4 or 6" lift (using a body lift for the addl inches if you really need to be up that high).

If you have a heavy nose, (winch bumper, supercan, and a 4.0L V) you can get away with a Class II 6" kit with 8" coils (if you order them seperately and sell the 6"ers).....Keep in mind that the steering HAS to be dealt with properly @ anything about 4".

Your options (search these phrases):

FA600 Extreme drop pitman arm
Modified Superrunner kit
Stonecrusher steering

You can run 33x12.5 no problem, or 35's with a body lift and some fender trimming...go look in the tech library there is a chart showing how much lift you need to run certain size tires.

Lift mods

Does anyone know if you can use cut and turned beams with the skyjacker lift with radius arms? Also what about drop shackles and coil spacers for a bit more lift?

Nothing in theory should prevent you using C&T beams together with a bracket lift such as Skyjacker's (infact it's common to do just that with 2-3" lift brackets to avoid having more than 3" of C&T on the beams themselves). Putting C&T beams onto a 4" or taller bracket lift is gonna be a lot of lift though, and will almost open the steering can-o-worms the same as the 8" bracket lift alone does.

Again I would say it's a lot better to use a body lift for anything above 6" lift in the suspension (that or a Dana44 solid front axle swap, on which the steering is a bit easier to deal with at nosebleed lift heights).
