8" SJ Coils and 6" SJ Brackets?

legoms013; thanks for the links,it was a while ago that I read the steering link and I am a lot clearer now about the steering issues.
It seems you and ThatGuy are on the same page about the steering, I am just now getting ready to send a TH700R to the trans. shop for a rebuild and the Advance Adapter conversion shaft install. When I get this back and installed I will be ready for the 5" lift and probably 35" KM2's. I hope James Duff has their Explorer Stage 3 kit avaliable by then with the Deaver rear springs.
Thanks guys for the help, dzrtrnr.

4x4junkie;663099} I'm not aware of any laws specifically addressing the use of rod-ends on the steering in CA (couldn't find anything on the DMV website either).[/QUOTE said:
Alright the deal with Heims is that they are not DOT approved, so technically speaking they are illegal throughout the entire United States. However...many people run them even on DD its just a matter of how likely it is to be stopped for them at an inspection or pulled over by a CHP who knows his off road suspension joints.

If they are oversize and setup for double shear or have retaining washers I don't have a problem running them. The StoneCrusher steering setup user "ThatGuy" is running is looking like more and more a viable design to for me to modify if I ever get around to either:
A) EB coils
or
B) 8" SJ coils
