8.8 swap into a jeep XJ

so my buddies gf got a XJ from her dad. i havent got to see it but i told her if its got a the turdy5 ill help her swap in a 8.8. how hard is the swap? anyone kno?

Mechanically it is fairly straightforward, however, depending on the year of the xj and the year of the 8.8 you might run into issues with abs.

They did this swap on Trucks. You have to move the spring perches and shock mounts. The 8.8 is also an inch or so narrower than the 35, so you may want spacers. Seemed like a fairly easy swap and a nice upgrade from the 35.
