Hey Guys: I have a 1991 ranger and I have located a 8.8 l/s rear but the
question is that it doesn't have abs. Is it still possible to use but not hook
up the sensor wire??? Other then the light on the dash will it cause any problems??

What's it out of?

Must be pre-88 not to have abs in the chunk........

Ranger or Bronco II?

The 8.8 was never in B2s and only in 4.0 rangers (90+). Sounds like it's out of an 80s F-150.

The answer is no, it won't hurt anything. Be sure to measure the width before you buy it. If it were me, I'd hold out for an Exporer 8.8. Same width, stronger axles, speed sensor for the anti-lock...

Sorry guys, I just found out some info on the rear end. It is suppose to have come out of a 1987 b11. As a previous post stated, that's not possible.
