i just picked up a 8.8 3L 37 , out of a 92 explorer and was wounder , what is that big rubber bushing thing that is next to the flange for the drive line? And what locker should i go with? This truck is my daily driver and weekend wheeler. THANKS TO WHO GETS BACK TO ME.....MIKE:bye:

It's a dampener, designed to smooth out driveline vibration. You can either toss it or keep it. They don't do much good.

If your truck is a DD the easiest and most cost effective locker would be a Powertrax No-Slip. This allows for smooth differentiation on-road but will lock up automatically under load. It also replaces the spider gears, so you don't need to set up the ring and pinion.
