8.8 lockers

i got a ranger with a 8.8 27 or 29 spline or whatever, i also have a ford explorer 8.8 that is 31 spline. they both have the gears 3.73, and my question is this, can a locker be installed in one axle and also fit the other because they are both 8.8s?

it's 28 spline and your answer is no.

reason being is the 'locker' has spines that the axle shafts slide into. and well....28 spline axle shafts dont really fit into a 31spline hole. get it?
