i just put a 8.8 rear end in my 86, had driveline built, all is great cept the donor vehicle was a total that one axle (drum plate, axle is strait) was very slightly bent and just want to order one.
the problem is the donor had no door tags or anything to verify year. it did have a ifs front end, 4.0 so i know its at least a 98 or later i also know it is 28 spline. when i search sumit they have many options for lengths, when i pull the axle can someone tell me when i measure do i measure from where the splines start,or the very end of axle, etc, then to the bearings, drum plate, inside of or outside of plate.

its not bent enough to give me a shake or cause brake peddle to pulse but it is bent and before i drop the money for the lockrite i want it perfect.

thanks.

Go to RockAuto, for the Ranger 28 spline after '93' only have two choices depending on which side you need. Doesn't matter what engine or 7.5/8.8 rear as long as it's 28 spline and one of the newer ones.
