8.8 3.55 to 4.10 Gas Mileage

enter your stock info on one side, enter what you want on the other side... and compare. :icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

cool I tried it, but I don't know my underdrive, and it wants a transfer case # so ...

Aren't you in automotive school? You should know that you do not have a transfer case. There will be no reduction/overdrive in this case.

I know quite well, but on the calculator it needs a value for the transfer case to give you RPM numbers

The ratio would be 1:1 because there is no reduction/overdrive

Learn something new everyday:icon_thumby: It worked, but I still need the underdrive pully value, and I don't know that

if you did a google search, i bet you could probably find one of those for 2wds focused on "street" vehicles also... i'm a 4x4 guy, so that's the one i know.

and you can select NONE for underdrive.. look at the drop down menus

no problem at all, it worked sort of for 65 miles per hour it say my truck with 3.55 is turning 4375 RPMS lol

make sure you're not looking at CRAWL rpms..
the first speed grid thing is the crawl rpms(in other words 1st gear). the second one is highway rpms (in other words 5th gear)

I would leave the gears alone if you plan on staying with that tire size, those seem like a perfect match. 4.10s are great if you were going up to 31s.

True, but I want more of a punch out of the hole. If you have any ideas it would be appreciated. thanks

I am going to leave it alone now, and put on an BBK throttle body and an dyno tune.

May I ask in the nicest way possible, what do you plan to achieve with the BBK throttle body? Why do you want to do this?

why are they not worth the money. The only reason I am second guessing the gear swap is messing up the gas mileage really badly. Any info will help thanks
