I know i can find it somewhere in the forum but I wanted a little more of an opinion on the axle itself and also if it would work properly with my ranger the axle is out of a 74 wagoner it's a complete axle with 354 gears

'74 Wagoneer has the diff on the wrong side (passenger side). You would need an '80 or newer Waggy axle.

if you swap in a big engine the side of the tcase drop is easier.

nice 5.3 with a nv3550 and a chevy 208 case....probably use the waggy case if you use a ford trans easy enough.

Ok so I didn't get the wagoner axle I decided on a d44 from an f250 with leaf over and now I need to decide on a set of leaf springs but I want something that will give me at least 5 inches of lift 4 would be ok too any that you would recomend ?

look up nmb2's build

he has a cool setup that you can incorporate degree shims with if you want to go rear shackle.

i am running chevy 54's currently. bout 5 inches of lift on a front shackle setup.
