Is this a axle 7.5 i looked in the tech library, and it seems to be one but the junk yard said it was an 8.8 maybe they made a mistake?

Does it not have a metal tag on one of the cover bolts? I wouldn't have bought it without one because you don't know what the gearing is either.

I would say its a 7.5

Looks too oblong to be an 8.8".

no there was not a tag. they said it was a 1995 8.8 with 4.10 gears but now looking at the diff covers id say its a 7.5

He's got a 2wd truck, he doesn't need to match gears.

I realize that. I'm just saying I like to know what I am buying. And I wouldn't want to buy it with 3.27s if I knew.

7.5,,,,hopefully he aint lying bout the gears also
