I have a 90 Bronco 2 that had ls diff and 4.10 gears. Inner pinion bearing gave out and exploded. Ring gear looks ok, pinion is shot.

I have a rearend ouot of 85 Ranger with 3.73 gears. I know the ranger width is 2 " less

Trying to decide what to do. Take the guts and gears out of the Ranger axle and put them into the Bronco 2 with the ls carier

I want to put in new bearings all around since it will be apart.

Or should I just move spring perches on the Ranger Axle and put it in as is. ( I know I have to change the front as well- it all has to come apart to change the ujoints anyways.

also debating putting a lunch box locker in the front but not sure since I drive in winter lots and sometimes nice to have Bronco in 4hi on the highway. Probably would not want to do this if it had a front locker.
Happy new year:icon_twisted:
