I have a 89 extracab with 4.10s on 35 inch tires the front carrier is shot , found a new set of 4.10s on line . the question is are they the same ring and pinion front and rear , can you put a rear in to the front ( not the whole houseing )

No. The front has a dana 28 high pinion reverse cut R&P and the rear is a ford 7.5". Totally different.

The D28 is much too small of an axle for 35" tires (and so are 4.10s).

You should think about getting a D35 up under the front of that thing (along with a 8.8" rear too), and gear them to 5.13 if you have the 2.9L V6. This should improve both the driveability and durability of your truck immensely.
