Anyone know a good place to buy them?I don't want to pay ford $200 each for them.6 of mine are bad and I was quoted $1200 for 8 rebuilt ones installed.Just looking for a cheaper option.

Fleabay.

The question I have is how do 6 injectors go bad at the same time? And how do you know they are 'bad'?

Did you have the cleaned and flow tested?

I don't know about the 7.3, but I think it is the 6.0's that will kill them in short order if they gell up and can't get fuel to them. The 7.3 might be the same deal.

They have oil running extremly high pressure that actuates the injector, and when there is no fuel to hold it back they jam and there you sit. The only fix is to turn them in as a core to a rebuilder.

good luck to you, id ge ton craigslist in every major city near your then start checking other states.

My 7.3 is in a 91 F-350. I paid $23.45 each for OEM new injectors at ShopDiesel.com I'm sure they have "powerstroke" injectors...not sure about the price. Glow plugs were $8.81 each.

If this is for the electronic engine (ie the Powerstroke) that is about right on the price. These injectors are ran off of high pressure oil and they tend to start leaking oil pass the seals. You might try an International dealer and see if they are better on the price than Ford. If you are changing the injectors I would recommend changing the valve cover pass through gaskets. Also while you are already there, the glow plugs would be a good idea as well. These are essentially International T444E engines with some Ford parts on them as per whatever agreement Ford and International has. It is common on these that more than one injector goes out at a time. I have also seen one or two injectors go out and after they are replaced more of them go out. The seals just wear out over time. Anyway just some two sense from a diesel mechanic for an International Dealer.

International rarely beats Ford on price. They are usually about the same.

It's really not uncommon for multiple injectors to go out at once on these engines. Particularly on the HEUI's. Whatever killed one of them was in the system for all of them. They were all exposed.
