How much boost does a stock 03 7.3 make? Any ideas? Working on the f350... I'm completely new to diesels. Brought up manifold pressure on the scanner and its hitting 35psi. That cant be right can it?

For some reason 20 psi is sticking in my head, but dont quote me.

35 seems high. My cummins ISX15 pulls 40.

Checked google...seem 17-20 is normal. 30 is "extreme", so im guessing at 35 youre getting pretty close to an explosion worthy of a 6.0.

I can't find an actual stated maximum spec, but in the boost testing procedure the say the gauge you use only needs to go to 30 PSI, and that 16 is the minimum.

Hmmmmm..... gotta be the wrong PID or just off all together. On graphing you can watch the rpm rise and half a second later the pressure. Peaks on map sensor at 35psi. Still learning both diesel and forscan though.

Is that actual intake pressure? (Baro + boost) I've seen it measured that way on some of the bigger International trucks.

put a gauge on it.
