Just curious of how much torque/ horsepower a stock ranger frame can withstand. I figgured a reg cab short bed frame would be the strongest. I'll be starting my Twin T3 charged 331 project this winter. I want this truck to be just a clean looking street truck, no cage, 3/4 drop, sleeper.
Plan on sprung under w/ traction bars, 245s for street, 10" slicks for track
Any thoughts on reg cab short bed frame VS 600Hp?

A '98-up Ranger would be your best bet. The front half of the frame is already fully boxed.

Wow, Thants one badass build you got goin there.:icon_thumby:

If it's gunna happen, You'll be the one to twist a frame. Let us know how it turns out.

Mine has already twisted some against my stroker. With the kind of power you want to make your setup you describe will be all wrong. You need some frame bracing reguardless. As for the spring under and all, that would work ok but not the best setup. Some ladder bar set up or link setup would be the best way to go. Yes a little more expensive but not as bad you you might think. And to most folk they wouldn't know the difference unless the were under the truck.

2000 model, is the best we have a 2001 model with a 434 with a 671 blower and gas all we did is box factory, and back half no problem so far remember your front suspension you will need 2 inch springs to be able to get caster and camber back
