Will I have problems using front shocks for a 6" lift in a truck that has only been lifted 4" ?

I don't think so. I'm running 5" lift with 6" lift shocks with no problems. Go for it.

There is a possibility of them being to long, but that can be fixed easily by extending your bumpstops down so the shock shaft doesn't blow thru the other side. But I doubt it as most 4" lift shocks are too short anyway.

yeah i dont see a problem. your coil may not compress all the way while flexing as the shock will act kind of like a 'bumpstop'. go for it

Yo,
The only issue might be when your suspension compresses. If the shocks are too long, they might bottom out before the bump stops do. You might have to add a spacer for the bump stops so they make contact earlier.
