so i just got a 6 inch lift and i was wondering if i need to lengthen my driveshalf. i have and extended cab so its a two peice drive shaft.
oh and does anybody have some ideas instead of the drop plate for the ttb.

thanks dave,

As for the drive shaft, you and either relocate the carrier bearing down a little bit from original height, or buy a 1 piece driveshaft off a newer ranger. Check the tech library for info on this stuff.

By drop plate I assume you mean the plate that drops the passenger axle beam pivot down. This is a no no, unless properly bumpstopped, but then you are losing most of your travel/ flex. I recommend just buying new brackets that avoid the plate style extension.

Wonder what shipping costs.... I just built a 3" .250wall DOM 1 piece driveshaft and got it balanced..... would be perfect for ya....

Was thinking $150? Wrecking yard stock shafts are $200....

here's what i did to my drop plate, gonna gusset and weld it up before i install it

Thanks dave
