5R55E - Red or Green EPC Solenoid. ?

My truck is a 1998 Ranger with the 4.0 engine, 5R55E Tranny.
I ordered the 6 solenoids for it and new valve body gaskets.
The EPC from tranny has the green screen and the one i ordered has the red.
Contacted the place of purchase and they say theyre the same. The red is newer and better.
So im confused whether to use the red or ?? any suggestions as i need to get it back together. thanks.

You checked with the vendor and they explained it's good/better.

Thank you Earl, yes i read the links. Still puzzled though. It seems the green epc's were in the 4r's.
I have no history of my truck, but could it have the 4r instead of the 5r55e ?

someone told me the 4r wouldnt work in place of a 5r as the wiring hookup is different.
i have a metal tag on tranny i will pull to get the tranny #. to be sure its a
5r55e.
Did any 5r55e's come with a green epc ??
