Where is this sensor? It's kinda cramped under the hood and wanna make sure I look in the right area... The center console keeps telling me I have an oil temp sensor problem and the stupid thing might as well work... I've tried to google it, but google is useless anymore, includes anything related which is anything coolant temp related...

Sweet! Thanks!!! Honestly I've tried several times trying to find something like that...

It's been a while since I've been under the thing, I'll look closer next time, I didn't notice it being a 2 wire sensor in the pan... I know GM uses combo temp/level senders in the pans of some of the LS engines (I think LS3 and LSA, we use them at work) but haven't had any "fancy" fords before... :)

From what that says it's a good thing this 5.0L doesn't leak as much as the '98 I got in October, that thing does it's own oil changes and warns you when it's time to top up... on the '00 it was only around 1.5qt low after like 5k miles. Poor thing has driven a lot, 16k since July of '17

I restricted the search using site:explorerforum.com on Google. That made it a lot easier to focus on relevant results.

ah, reasonable trick that I'll try to remember... since google stopped allowing the - to subtract results I've had a MUCH harder time using it... I've tried adding in explorerforum to the search but that's like a 20% success rate

Thanks
