totally weird - anything about SUVs is written with a green slant, but then there are constant complaints about emissions-compliant v8s from the 70s and 80s? so weird

Those 70's and 80's V-8s pissed people off because they sucked. Not because they were emissions compliant but because they put no effort in to advancing the engine technology. Today's v-8s are compliant, and far cleaner, but make power.

I remember my old Corvette, with it's whopping 190 horse 350. lol

Oh and about the Explorer I can see why... That was the first year for that look and the interior and everything... it was more of a Luxury SUV then anything... But you can't blame it on that... it was a smaller more fuel efficent SUV, then Chevy said hey Lets make a bigger more comfortable version... I think the Chevy Burb should be on there not the Explorer. The explorer is still a small SUV atleast.

My family had a Pacer and a Gremlin when I was a kid. Those were two of the best cars we hand next to the Pinto station wagon.

my Dad had a Pinto, it was a good car..... He also had a Vega.... not as good
