?5 speed replace bearings or rebuild?

I have an 04 2.3 with 5 speed manual. 121,000. Tranny made a LOUD screeching noise wednesday momentarily then quit. Now it sounds like loose marbles when I let out the clutch in 1st and 2nd gear. I replaced the tranny rear seal and added 1-1/2 quarts. It quieted it down a little but not much. I'm guessing a bearing or two is bad in this tranny. Has anyone rebuilt one of these trannys or just replaced a bearing or two? I've done lots of mechanical work but never serviced a tranny.
