I'm planning on putting a 5.8 into my 91 exploder. Was going fore the 460 but buddy doesn't want to give it up now, long story. I've got a nice new set of mount's from a early 80's 351 along with a motor from same. With some mods to the airbox it should fit. My question is about the oil pan. Which one is best for this swap without having to mod the crossmember.

The Duff pan is for a 5.0 unless I looked at a different one.

Tech library under Ford V8 Swaps has info about the pan you need.

If it's a windsor the 5.0 pan will work.

I believe any of the 80s model cars with the 351W will have the right pan for you.

As long as it looks like the one in the link.

I am using the one in the link. I just bought it at a third of the price.

Exactly:icon_thumby: X 2. Ditto on the 302 pans don't fit a 351 block.

Summit sells a kit with the oil pan pickup as well. It's designed for a fox body Mustang. This will work. If you just change the pan and not the pump pickup, you'll have issues.
