i have an 88 ranger 2.9 and i was wondering if i put 5.13s and 33s will i be able to cruse 70 in over drive at like 2500 rpms and still have a ton of low end power

You'd probably want 4.56s, 5.13 may be a little too much. You'll also want to swap in a D35 and maybe an 8.8 if you haven't already.

33,5:13s with a over drive of .84:1 at 2500rpm you would be at about 55mph

same combo above, but at 70mph you would be at 3100-3200

what would it be like with 4.56s will i still have alot of low end

That will put you right around stock gearing with 33s. Depending what you want you could go from there. "A lot" is a pretty subjective term.

4.88 is what you want with a 2.9L and 33s.

i think im just going to keep my 31s and just put 4.56s in i might go to 33s later when i get another lift put on thanks for the opinions.

Think carefully. Swapping gears is expensive and time consuming. You really only want to do it once.
