5.0 swap into an xj

thinking about puttin a 5.0 in a jeep cherokee, trying to decide on trans and tcase. maybe aod/married 1350? any suggestions

I've done a 302 swap on a 2k TJ, reused the stock nv3550 trans...

If you want to keep it injected all you do is plug the computer from the donor into the 5.0. To many people make EFI into this big nasty monster when it is much simpler the a carb. Keep it injected so you can get more performance, mpg, and option to tune later.

Amen. After dealing with a carb on a few cars, I'm done with them. It is really simple - especially Ford's EFI.

I was one of the people that thought EFI was a device of the devil till I actually looked into it. Turns out you don't need any tools to tune EFI just a computer to plug into an OBDII.
