5.0 injectors on 2.9

found some 5.0 injectors laying around in my garage and noticed they are the same length and the diamater of the ends are the same as the 2.9 injectors. the plug ins are also the same. ive heard of putting bigger injectors on a motor but what would this do? would it run bad ass oar would it run like crap

Might give it a noticble power gain. It'll most defiantly use more fuel. Could flood the engine

The computer is set up to run the 2.9 injectors... probably not going to give you any noticeable performance gains, and more than likely will use more fuel and cause your CEL to come on.

So unless you are going to set up the intake to bring in more air for the fuel and a tuner to adjust the computer, I would say it is a waste of time and could damage your truck in the long run.

alright thanks lol im not wanting to put a turbo on or anything so if there would be more of a noticable difference in mpg in a bad way than power in a good way than im not doing it haha i was just a little curious. trying to find a way to get some tourque easily. the only thing i plan on doing to the intake is putting on a snorkle and putting a second MAF sensor up top rite underneith the air filter and having the wires for the 1st and 2nd MAF to a 2 way toggle switch.
