Ok guys we are tryin to figure a way to legaly put a 5.0 into my ranger in california.what is the best thing to do, any ideas?

You will have to have a complete donor vehicle to scavenge off of. It'll have to be a 2000 model or newer. Every single part of the 5.0 assembly will have to be transferred to the Ranger. It can be done but it will NOT be an easy thing in California.

You will have to transfer everything from a 2000 or 2001 Explorer 5.0 to be legal in California. I believe that even the PATS alarm module has to match for the ignition to work properly.
