5.0 in 99 ranger?

PATS is part of the engine/transmission computer, it disables fuel pump and injectors

Assuming you will not be using the 1999 Computer then no PATS issue, well only one, but easy to fix, Starter Relay in the engine fuse box needs to be Grounded

You will need a Spark system, and an AOD(4-speed) transmission or C6(3-speed), these don't need computer control, or a Manual transmission, M5OD-R2 from a 1997-2003 4.2l V6, same bolt pattern as 5.0l OHV

Thanks for the reply . I plan on using a c6 and 205. I'm going to look at 99 super cab for 500$ . It's a good looking blue truck. Got a kp d60 and 10.25 also.
