5.0 Coyote V8 in a 2011 Ranger

I would like to see what they do to make the 4wd work for this truck. I would love a 5.0 in my ranger. The new 5.0 that is. I often get to drive the new 5.0 Stangs when I am at work and they are a "Hoot" when you smash the gas pedal.

i wonder how many ecoboost trucks are prowling around.

this is a repost, i forget where it was posted on the forum earlier...

unrelated note... last post :D:D:D:D

Why, it's beautiful.

Now this is interesting, was wondering how long it would take someone to do it. That probably wasnt cheap

i wonder how many ecoboost trucks are prowling around.

I'm kind of wanting to do it to my '92 in a few years.

i don't think the coyote is available as a crate motor yet either, is it?

he would have to have found a wrecked one, or pulled it out of a brand new car (doubtful)

Coyote is indeed available as a crate. I saw it at Ford Carlisle, they did a swap into an old fox body. 6 wire hook-up, that's it...6 wires. That's awesome.

Not only is the Coyote from the GT available as a crate, but the Coyote from the Boss 302 with the aggressive camshaft, better intake, and forged goodies is too. :icon_thumby:

Prices starting around $8000.00

you know, for a sick engine, that is 6 wires, that's a pretty sick deal!

when you say 6 wires, do you mean that's it? like nothing more? something like ignition, start, power, ground, tach and mystery wire?

as in we could take that and wire 6 things up and it would work in ANY vehicle?

i think i might just save up 8 g's here some time soon (when i get a job that pays more than 16/hr :( )

SIX! Apparently most everything is self contained the swap they did in Carlisle on the old Fox took something like 4 hours 53 minutes! Its engineered to be a truly simple crate motor for Ford enthusiasts. The boys at Ford say you can put it in ANYTHING easily.

you guys realize with a tuner

almost any engine is 6 wires for a hotrod application right?

including the ecoboost.

OK:icon_confused: I had no idea almost every engine is only a six wire hookup. Please further your explanation.
