5.0 conversion,

I cannot get my donor transmission to shift without an ecu? Is there a way anyone knows to create a shifter since I've deleted the ECU and cannot hook up the electronics to my transmission?? Please help

No, there is no "work around", but you can buy a stand alone shift controller, $600-$800 with wiring, I think

Or you can sell current automatic, and use an AOD automatic, not AOD-E, the AOD was the last 4-speed auto that didn't need a computer, I think 1993 was the last year Ford used them in F-series and Broncos with the 302/5.0l engines, 2WDs and 4x4s

Or you can use a 1997-2003 M5OD-R2 manual transmission

Here's a place that sells a controller. If you buy the little bit fancier model, you can do some interesting things. Like having paddle shifters and a tow/haul mode among other features.
