4x4 wont engage

i have a 1996 ranger xlt and tonight i was doing some mudding and decided to try to go through a ditch. i wen through on a angle and when i started to spin the was a wicked sound coming from under the truck so we pulled it out and it seemed to run fine it went into 4wd ok i thought one of the tires were rubbing. but went i put it in 4 low in clicked like 4 times, then both 4 hi and 4 low started flashed 5 times ever like 3 min. anyone know anything THANKS

My buds exploder did this once when we were snow wheelin. Thought we ****ed his t-case or tranny. His went away though... i believe it means something is wrong with either the t-case or tranny when they flash like that though... sorry for your luck. My 4x4 won't go either, believe it's my t-case.

i searched around the forums awhile and it seem that its a fuse problem check the box under the dash

unplug the battery and see if the computer resets
