Passengers beam built for the prerunner, need some plate to finish up the drivers. the drivers side dropdown bracket is fixed, just waiting on uniballs to install it and weld on the shock tabs after cycling the suspension. A lot of work left considering I need to be loading it on the trailer for barstow Wednesday night..

1449 has its trans back in and is 99% ready for a test in barstow next week for my bday trip. The prerunner is still a long ways away.

I don't think I told u guys what ended up happening here.

The prerunner was a long ways away from making my bday trip but as u can see from the pics it made it. But the new truck didn't. Instead we took my wifes exploder and the prerunner. Wednesday night (the day before leaving) we went to load up the new truck cause it was pretty much ready to go, I fired the truck up and decided to take it for a spin before loading it up, got about a block away and heard a huge bang and the motor shuts off. I try to refire the motor but it sounds funky doesn't sound like the valves are opening. I POP the hood and crank the motor and see the belt spinning so I know the crank is spinning. I pull off the distributor cap and crank over the motor and don't see the distributor moving at all so I know something came apart in cam/timing chain. At this point we say -uck it we will just take the exploder. But it had a dead battery so we fix that and go to fire it up and it won't run still, squirt starting fluid down the intake and it fires up and dies after a few mins of looking at it we decide its either got a bad fuel pump or its out of gas. We add fuel to it and after cycling the fuel pump 1033948482928484x it finally fires and we can load it up.3/4ths of the way threw the trip the fuel filter clogged up and it stopped running but at least my wife got some time driving it before hand.
We then spent the rest of the night working on the prerunner building its new beams. At about 4am Thursday morning we decide its too late to go to bed so just keep working. I finished up the front suspension on the prerunner and loaded it up at 9am. I then drove straight to work,now an hour late, worked till 2pm(2 hours later then expected) then showered and hit the road getting to barstow at 7 pm all before going to bed.

Over all it was a good bday trip even though it was a ton of stress setting it all up.

The exploder has coilovers and extended beams up front, the rear has the stock rear springs converted to spring over to give it its lift. It's got a currie 9in with a 4.56 posi and some 14in threaded body shocks.
The front cycles 24in of travel and works pretty good, the rear cycles 14 and kicks like crazy but its a ton of fun to drive. It was my DD back in high school but its been sitting for a long time and my wife has been wanting something to drive so we will be fixing it up for her.
It should be getting caged and linked soon especially now that she has gotten to drive it and loves it.

What a coincidence I love exploders too. I'm going to build another trailer so my wifes 4 door exploder can tow her 2 door exploder next trip so she can have both with us. LOL
