Ok I have a 2000 xlt ranger with auto locking front end and it does not have the vacuum pulse locking hubs. I got it a couple years ago after a really bad winter and last year the winter was really mild so I only used the 4x4 a couple times. This is my first 4x4 rig and we got a bunch of snow the last couple nights so I was wondering if anyone can give me some things to expect when driving, noises etc. I have had both diffs and the transfer case drained and refilled and I did the tranny fluid myself about 12,000 miles ago. Also I put a 500dollar superlift front driveshaft on it for the lift.
It seems to be working fine it engages well into four low and hi but when im in a snowy parking lot turningat an idle into a parking space it kinda lurches a bit and when I slow down the TC whines a bit. I can hear it in the cab but not with the window down. I just need some advice on what to expect from 4x4 operation thanks everyone.
