So i went four wheeling a week ago and i put my truck in 4 feet of water and i had water flowing into my cab. Now my 4 wheel drive was stuck in 4 low and then i managed to get it shut off so i was able to drive home, But the front drive shaft is locked and the hubs are turned to free.

I know that i got my 4x4 computer wet behind the back fold up seats. Would that be the cause to this all? I have a 1350 manual transfer case sittin in my shop Could this be easy to swap. I want to get rid of the electronic BS.

Could be the computer... could be the shifter motor too.
I'd take both apart and try to clean them up a bit (dirty water might've gotten into the contacts on the controller relays. Sometimes you can pop the covers off the relays and shoot them with some contact cleaner). Often times the rest of the electronics can survive a dunking (unless of course it was salt water, then all bets are off).

stuck in 4x4

when mine was working it would get stuck usually when it was under a load. i would put it in first gear and get the rpm's up about 1500 and then let off the gas with it still in gear. kinda like gearin down sometimes it may take 2 or 3 times but it would come out 4x4

Are all 1350 t-cases the same size and shape? Nothing is different about the electronic and manual t-cases?

I'm sorry I need to invoke forum policy against heresy...

If anyone wants to remove an electric shift T-case and replace
it with a manual shift T-case all replying posts must genuflect to
the "holy steel lever" before explaining how to actually fix the
abomination, that spawn of the underworld, we know as "electronic shift".

Encourage all swaps to manual T-cases.

The hardest part of swapping in a manual t-case is locating one
and more often locating the correct shifter.

There are alteast SEVEN different shifters for the 13-50,
and a couple of sub variants that muddy the waters further.

No hole cutting, the removeable floor plate is where the hole
for the shifter goes.

to replace a 13-50 with a 13-50? once you have the parts in-hand
the hardest part is prying the old one off the trans and lifting the new one up.

I did once break my nose with a t-case that swung down unexpectedly...

Lets say i still have the front drive shaft kicking around from my parts ranger that i removed the 1350 manual t-case out. will that one work if i did the d35 swap up front. My parts ranger is a 1988
