i'm putting a lift kit on my 95 4x4 with a 4.0L and a buddy of mine is interested in the stock coil springs from it if it will give his truck some lift. he has a 93 2wd with a 4cyl. i'm hoping it will because he has some braided extended brake lines to trade for them.

thanks for the info.

Very little, they are actually listed as the same height but the 6cyl springs have a higher rate. I did this on my truck hoping for a mild lift and more so to keep it from sagging like the old ones did.

We put springs in that had the highest rates. I got very little if any lift from them, we were replacing springs that had 180k on them and one was broken. If he needs springs then go for it, if he wants a lift that can be noticed but lift coils.

The 2wd and 4wd '97 and older Ranger coil springs are the same height. The only difference is the spring rate.

The 4wd get their additional height from the beams.
