I HAVE ZERO TRANSFER CASE EXPERIENCE,, BELT OR CHAIN DRIVEN ? I DON'T KNOW,,can someone give me an idea what to look for.,obviously I only have RWD at the moment,,could it be a chain or belt or fluid or a combination & if anyone has a good TRANSFER CASE 1999 RANGER 3.0 GIVE ME A SHOUT,I LIVE IN TOLEDO OHIO THANK YOU

If you have push button 4wd you rarely use and it just quit working it is likely the shift motor.

Yeah, that, it's a definite thing on these, they need to be cycled every few months to make sure they work. On a '99 I think there's pulse vacuum hubs up front too
