so im driveing home tonight after droping my gf off. i hear a loud bang, then sqeek sqeek sqeek 3 times then bang from my drivers side auto hub. is that my the hub trying to lock? the hub is super hot on the side the banging is comeing from. also when it bangs it jerks the wheel to the same side. The other one is just warm. ive only used 4wd a couple times and i back up 10 feet to unlock them. if this is the hub trying to engauge what damage will be caused and what is the work to do a manual hub conversion:icon_welder:

manual hubs are not hard to do at all. all there is 2 nuts one thicker than the other and the thicker one goes on the inside and snug it till there is a little drag on the rotor. Then there is a spacer that lock the inner nut on then but the outside one on i think to 150ft pounds and then but one the shaft washers and the clip. then but on the hub and your set.
that is wat i did. correct me if am wrong

sounds to me like i got the auto crap hub situation. crap lol
