I got into my '96 2wd 4.0L auto Ranger this morning, started her up, and found that no matter what I tried I couldn't move the shifter. Tried rocking it back and forth, playing with the brake pedal, etc., couldn't budge it.
Got out, and found some plastic connector near the pedals. I look underneath the steering wheel, and found a handful of cut wires right behind the obd reader hub. Knowing my truck has been broken into twice in this parking lot, I assumed some morons tried to steal a part or something.
Any ideas as to what happened? Is there a part worth stealing right there? What do I need to jerry-rig to make my truck work again?
