any help with this i have the say issue and need to figure this out 1998 ranger 2.5l

Usually boils down to needing a rebuild, the solenoid pack or a bad computer. Take it to a transmission shop and have it looked at.

that answer is no help what so ever there are many times where it doesnt need a rebuild if you dont have any specific ideas other than get it rebuilt please dont post

I just noticed that you high jacked someone elses thread, so why are you posting if you don't have answers?. Maybe you should heed your own advise. And yes I have ran into this problem with the wifes vehicle. The easiest way to answer your question is the one you already got from me. If you don't like it then take it to someone who can diagnose it correctly (a transmission shop) they deal with these problems daily, because you will never figure it out. That is what I did and that was the route I had to go to get the wifes Explorer fixed. There are to many variables and the codes are to vague saying that the solenoid pack is bad......why is it bad......is the computer bad.......does it need to be reflashed........is the valve boy bad (warped).....is the valve body gasket bad (blown out)....that is where I was going with the answer you didn't like. You want answers off a code you had read from the computer.....have someone who knows what they are doing look at it and diagnose it right!!!!!! Mr. Homie if you have questions start your own thread and not take over someone elses!

valve body gasket was blown out so not enough pressure for OD problem fixed and o ye i did figure it out without the expense on a transmission shop rapping me for a rebuild.

If you would go back and read the post I said it could possibly need a rebuild or a solenoid pack or a a bad computer. Learn to read and read the whole post not jump to conclusions and get all pissed.

im just saying it was none of the above it was a gasket, but who cares its fixed thought the forum would have been more help but o well maybe next time
