4r44e shifts Upgrades??Help

Whats the best upgrade for the 4r44e trans. I dont like the way mine shifts,its too slow/sluggish. And the T/C lock-up is lousy. Is there any programmers available or what else is out there that somebody else has used..Need some info Thanks!

I have that same tranny and I was able to upgrade with a BamaChips SCT Excalibrator 2. It works great. http://bamachips.com/store/index.php?main_page=index if you contact them they will take care of you. Beware it is about $400 but I for one think it is well worth the cost. Best upgrade I have done.

I replaced mine with a tranny out of a 2003 Ranger.
I only have four of the five speeds working now, but I'm still working on it.
I'll update when I make more adjustments.

there is a company called shift that makes shift kits for the a4ld and i believe the 4r44 and 5r55e transmissions, they are spring replacements and sometimes require u to drill areas, but make the shifts more firm and effective...
